The Punchette is acquired at the end of the Toontown Central, but only starts to be used at the end of Ye Olde Toontowne's taskline, during the task "Ye Olde Oubliette!", Where it is used to talk to the ghost of the PRR and unlock the Timmy Riddle fight, which is required to beat the Taskline. As the Elders have been locked in the dungeon so long they've forgotten the name of the portcullis spell, the player ends up looking around the dungeon and eventually finds the PRR. Winston explains to the player that Timmy Riddle was thrown into the dungeon when he was on his last legs, and that he spent his final moments trying to communicate to the trapped toon, and asks you to see if he's still alive. After the player defeats Timmy and explains the situation to Winston, he is sad but understands why they had to do what they did, and teaches them how to talk to sprits. Its only other use after that is Kudos Tasks.
Webster would have rather died than leave his friends behind. Unfortunately, what he didn't know was how much those friends had changed since he last saw them, and how much Mr. Doggenbottom and Lauren Ordier wanted him to change to fit their mould.
With the proliferation of Coach Zucchini's Gag Factories,Reid Stock ended up having to see her family's gag farm, and thus the only way to keep up her sole source of income, go out of business. She took a job with the Toon Resistance Inc. out of necessity rather than ideology, and though she's worked her way up to a secure career, she doesn't really enjoy it.
She's eerily calm and affable, not seeming to hold a grudge against the rebels, Toon or Suit. she even says in one of her death taunts that if things had worked out differently,
she and the Case Manager could have been friends.
The Toon Resistance Inc. always saw Tumbles as a useless layabout, siphoning good labour with his endless requests for help with his travels. When Lauren Ordier's reconditioning was deemed successful,Tumbles was immediately snatched from his tent and given an offer:Get a job at the Toon Resistance Inc, or be dipped.
Cog Characters who do not have counterparts in this AU are:
The Wing Family
the Chief Justice
Sads
Crystalline
Bobby Jr
Jennifer.
Ike Scream is both Count Erclaim and Count Erfit, and inherited the title because he was their only surviving relative (via marriage) when the two Counts passed.
Rocky does not like that one bit, and in his "High Roller" fantasies, Ike is deliberately left out of the audience. (Rocky is both the Ottoman and the High Roller.)
In a hypothetical TTR version of this AU,Bumpy Bumblebehr would be the CJ, and Slappy would be the Boiler.
Reconditioning is basically a Toon having all their silliness tortured out of them so they can perform better in combat.
Mr. Doggenbottom doesn't like talking about his previous career, same with Barnacle Bessie,Lil' Oldman...Pretty much any of the main taskline NPCs that chose to stick with the resistance
instead of joining the Toontown Rebellion.
Clerk Clara deeply misses Clerk Clark, who wants nothing to do with her.
Lauren Ordier age regresses to cope with the trauma of reconditioning and the stress of her job.
She also gave Barnacle Bessie a job because she didn't want her to go through reconditioning.
The only Gag Trees Reid Stock grows these days are small ornamental plants she uses to decorate what used to be Lawbot HQ.
